What makes these wraps different
The problem with cling film
Cling film is single-use, tears easily and ends up in the bin after one meal. It also takes a lot of resources to make and transport.
What these wraps do differently
Each wrap replaces dozens of metres of cling film. It is washable, reusable and compostable at the end of its life.
How to use and care for your wraps
Rinse the wrap in cool water and let it dry before storing.
Press a fresh wrap over leftovers or a cut vegetable to keep it crisp.
Keep wraps flat in the cotton pouch, away from radiators and direct sun.
A simple swap for cling film
These wraps are a simple swap for cling film. Each one is a square of organic cotton coated in a blend of beeswax, tree resin and jojoba oil, so it softens in your hands and forms a seal around a bowl, a cut fruit or a sandwich. The set covers most everyday needs: two small wraps for herbs and citrus, two medium for cheese and vegetables, and two large for bread bowls and casserole dishes. TerraLana makes them in small batches, pressing the wax blend into the cotton by hand. The result is a wrap that keeps food fresh and looks good on the counter. When a wrap reaches the end of its life, you can compost it at home. That is the whole idea: less single-use plastic, more food kept crisp.

Questions, answered
How do I clean the wraps? +
Rinse them in cool water with a mild soap, then let them air dry. Avoid hot water and dishwashers, as heat melts the wax coating.
How long does a wrap last? +
With regular use and proper care, most wraps last around a year. After that, you can compost them at home.
Can I use them with raw meat? +
We recommend using them for fruit, vegetables, bread, cheese and covered bowls. For raw meat, stick to a sealed container.
Do they smell of beeswax? +
They have a light, natural honey and beeswax scent that fades quickly. It does not transfer to food.
